Oh yes.. Now it's a "feature" and must be installed via Control
Panel\Programs\Programs and Features\... A new nightmare for ISP TechSupport
engineers. =/

I did that and still could not connect to a mud game... am I doing something
wrong? I typed O and then the address I was looking for it to connect to, and
it said connection failed. I tried typing the address different ways, and
still the same result.
 
Hard to say. You must use an open port that is both free through your
firewall and also used by the host. You should ask someone who
actually can connect to the server in question.

The Windows telnet client is okay, but you ought to get a real telnet
like PuTTY.
