Teknum Shredder - BEWARE

Nasty piece of work! It won't uninstall, even though it has its own
uninstaller, and renews itself the next time you boot. See here for some

Thanks for the warning, but the warning comes about two years late.

You'll be happy to know that both Handybits and Teknum are blocked by
the HOSTS File at Bluetack Internet Security Solutions:

OK thanks. I downloaded and installed it on Monday before I learned about
its status. I managed to get rid of all of it, but it was a real pain.

Serves you right! ;-)))

Suggestion: google "[whatever] adware" and/or "[whatever]
spyware". It's not 100 pct. reliable but it is worth the few
seconds it takes to do, IMHO

Ex:
Teknum adware
Teknum spyware

I'm running AdAware & Spybot S&D, but they both missed it.

I never looked for it in this group. A friend brought me the 'app' on a Zip
Disk and said that it seemed to work well. Now I have to tell him how to
remove it from his system.

Warnings are NEVER too late for people using such apps for the first time.
