Hi,

For some application compatibiliy we needed to upgrade
certain machines from win2000 to XP. After the upgrade
the nic card sends about 1 000 000 000 000 packages per
second. They all have the same problems. I unchecked the
option discover of default gateway, reinstallation of the
nic card, reinstallation fo tcp/ip protocol. Unfortunally
I have still the same problem on all the pc's. I'm using
the correct DNS server, I tried with a static IP, just
with the settings of our DHCP server, but it won't work.
Anybody an idea?? I'm running out of ideas!!

Thanks,

Greg

Could you decribe the packets the XP box is sending in more detail? You may
need to get a sniff. Have you simply tried a different NIC?

It's the built in nic from the ibm laptops
When performing a clean install there is no problem
Unfortunally the company's policy is to upgrade and not
to reïnstall
I wil try with a sniffer

Thanks

Greg
