I have my outlook task list grouped by Due Date with "Actual Work" as one of
the displayed columns. Is there a way I can have the Group Header show the
Due Date information PLUS the SUM of the Actual Work left for the day (in
hours).

No. Outlook views don't do sums across multiple items.
