I assign a user a task and that user marks it as complete. I receive an
email stating that the task is complete, but the status of the copy of the
task in my "Tasks" section doesn't change to complete. Do I have to
manually update tasks that I assign to users or is there a way to
synchronize the sent task with the copy that is in my "Tasks"
ction? --FYI, I'm using Outlook 2003 and the other user is using 2000.

Tasks send messages back and forth with : in them. For example, Task Status
Report: subject of task and Task Update: subject of task.

For the data to be updated in your PC, you must open the email. Open, not
mark as read or any other option. It's opening it that sucks the data out of
the email and updates your Task status.

Well, that's the functionality that i want. However, in a test task, I
found that after I assign a task it says that it is waiting for a user to
respond even though my test user accepted the task. Do users have to be
part of the global address list? It seems that after i took the test user
and displayed him in the GAL, then I was able to update the task back and
forth. Also, how should the permission be set on the tasks folder? I
assigned a user a task, and though he accepted the task and a response was
sent to me, I couldn't open the mail and the message I got was that the
tasks folder could not be found.
