How do I get my tasks to appear in the calandar correctly?

When I drag a task to my calander, it puts it in today
and changes my due date to today. I create task A with a
due date of 8/4/04 and then drag it to the calendar. (you
would expect it to put it into the 8/4/04 square but it
puts it into today and changes the due date to today.

Thanks.

rml, what you're describing ("it puts it into today") is what the developers
intended (AFAIK). When you drag a task onto your calendar, you're creating
an appointment out of that task. In other words, you're setting time aside
on your calendar to work the task. That time can be any time, not
necessarily on the task due date. So Outlook, by default, sets the
appointment for today at the first available time slot (after all, why not
get going on that task right away?). You can, of course, change the date and
times to anything you want.

Also note that Outlook does not change the task due date. In the main body
of the appointment screen, you'll see that the task due date is what it
always was (and isn't it nice that Outlook puts this information right in
the appointment, so you don't have to go to the task to look it up?).
