Tasks are represented twice in taskbar

For some bizare reason my taskbar is showing two button (seperated) for each task. It's like the task bar held 2 toolbars for showing tasks. I can even change the distance between 1 bunch of tasks and their doubles by dragging the divider (bunch of dots). This is all on the same taskbar (although I have no idea how you could have 2). Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
