Hi Ian,

The startup task pane in Tools - Options - View has been unchecked me since
I started using this new computer, but it doesnt work.
When I press Ctrl+C (i think twice) it rears it ugly head again and again.

Thanks a lot,

Hi, Hari;
Edit> Office Clipboard> Options
Un-check "Show Office Clipboard When Ctrl+C Pressed Twice."
Regards,
Ian.

Hi Ian,

Originally I had tried that as well, but no change in status quo.

Actually within Edit> Office Clipboard> Options , I have four options which
are..
- Show office clipboard automatically (I have kept this UNchecked)
- Collect without showing office clipboard (I have kept this CHECKED)
- Show office clipboard icon on taskbar (I have kept this UNchecked)
- Show status near taskbar when copying (I have kept this UNchecked)

Inspite of the above "checks" from my side Im not able to keep my excel in
check.

Also, why are u saying Un-check "Show Office Clipboard When Ctrl+C Pressed
Twice." As I said above, within the Edit> Office Clipboard> Options I get
only 4 sub-options and none of them is "Show Office Clipboard When Ctrl+C
Pressed Twice."

Actually just above the options 'dropdown' there is something written to the
effect of "To display this task pane again, click office clipboard on the
the menu or press Ctrl+c twice". I want to be able to press Ctrl+ c twice
but dont want this taskpane to appear. Am I missing something? I have Excel
2002 (Windows XP).

Thanks a lot for your time,
Hari

Hello, Hari;
I have your four options plus the one I mentioned, for a total of five, in
Excel 2003. I've no experience with 2002. Pehaps someone who does could give
you an answer.
Sorry I couldn't help.
Good luck.
Ian.
