Hi,
I'm working with XP Embedded for the first time, and I couldn't make the taskbar disappear from the screen.
Where can I set it? (In wich component, which property has to be modified, etc.)
Thanks
BFJ

Dear BFJ,

Taskbar disappear?

You mean auto hide or really disappear?

If you need Taskbar disappear, you may try to change the shell.

If you need auto hide, mouse right click on the taskbar-> properties ->
taskbar appearance -> Auto Hide checkbox.

Dear Bing Chen,

I want the taskbar(with the Start menu, Status area, etc.) really disappear.
But I don't know, how to set the visibility of the taskbar in the Target Designer.
Does a property exist for the setting of the taskbar visibility,
like cmiTaskBarContext (boolean) for the "Show context menu on Task bar", or not?
If such a property exists, in which component can it be found, and what is the name of this property, and what values can it be set to.

Thanks,
BFJ

Hi,

Just uncheck the Rightlick option in the User Interface Settings .You
can also check the Auto hide on.However this is a fool proof way of
removing the task bar..Way are plenty.
Play with the registries but Im not sure whether it will completely
remove the Start menu, you may remove the items for sure..
Are you starting up a application,I think u can go for a Custom Shell
for the app...
