Help! A few days ago I accidentally moved my taskbar to
the side of my screen, where it got really wide, about an
inch. When I clicked and dragged it back to the bottom,
it stayed wide and now I can't make it normal again. I am
able to get the two directional arrows on the edge of the
taskbar, but it doesn't do anything when I try to drag
the edge down to make it shrink. I've looked in
Properties, in Help, on the Control Panel under Taskbar
and talked to 3 IT people. Nothing has worked. If anybody
out there can help me (it's not hindering my work, it's
just annoying) I'd really appreciate it! And I'll give
you kudos to all my friends! Thanks.....

.
Right click on an empty area of the taskbar and uncheck
"lock the taskber" You should be able to adjust it after
that.
