I guess I'm really desperate here. When I load my Windows
XP on my laptop... the taskbar (Start Bar) will show up,
along with the time etc in the lower right.... however the
bars aren't accessible. I get an 'hour glass' and can't
get into my programs through the menu. I have an error
message which pops up when I go into Task Manager to
restart. It gives me the file... "rundll32.exe" or
possibly it is "wupdater.exe" which windows also tells me
isn't responding. THen up pops the DLL Initialization
Failed window with "rundll32.exe" error (the application
failed to initialize because the window station is
shutting down. Does anyone out there have a clue what
these files are? How can I get my Start Menu working
again??? Thanks.
