taskbar non functional on just one account

Hi - thats pretty much it. Just my sons desktop - any open programs do not
appear on the taskbar. If he minimises then he's lost it! Any ideas please?
 
worked for free - although now have corrupted registry so plan new
instalation - can't win everything

While I was surprised to see this being as 49KB, it says that
some options are disabled which will become operative on $5
license.
