When I open my excel program it opens up and I don't get
my Windows98 task bar displayed on the bottom or the
screen as well as I am missing the
maximize/minimize/close feature for the excel program.
What can I do to recover these. Running the repair and
reinstalling the program did nothing to fix my problem.
Is there anything else that I could try? Thanks.

Hi Dan

Did you check the properties of the task bar (always on top, auto hide)
What happen when you do View > Full Screen

If your workbook is protect with Windows checked then you are missing
the maximize/minimize/close feature for the excel program
Tools>Protection> Protect Workbook

Full Screen does not fix the problem I tried it. If it
helps any the rest of the office products work properly,
it's just Excel, so I figure it must be a setting. Right?

.
Task Bar is not set to auto hide. If that was the case
I would never see the task bar in any of my applications
and this is the only one giving me this trouble.
