taskbar icons missing

I was moving the cursor across the icons with the "speaker" and the bar
moved to the right hiding most of the icons. How can I move the bar to the
left and un-hide the icons?

You should be able to just left click on the task bar itself in an area that doesn't have an open Window rectangle and drag it back to the bottom of the screen. This should get your System Tray (the area where the clock is) back.

Sorry, I need to be clearer on what I am seeing.
The task bar where the speaker is located to the right of rectangular
boxes. It is this part of the task bar that reduced in size to the right.
I can now see only 3 icons to include the speaker.
How can I enlarge the space where the speaker is located to see the rest of
the icons.
The tasks in the rectangles in the middle are ok.
