I have a problem with one of my Win XP system. The taskbar buttons (for
running applications ) are displayed twice on the taskbar. There is a copy
of all buttons. To see an exemple (the exemple is with Win 98), go to :

I removed all the toolbars (Adress, Media Player, Links, Language Bar,
Desktop, Quick Launch) but I still stock with two copies of the running
applications buttons.

How can I get rid of the "copy" of the taskbar?

Thanks!

Have you tried right clicking on the taskbar and unclicking 'lock the
taskbar', and then removing the extra set of buttons by dragging the second
set over the first ones?

Yes. The taskbar is unlocked. When I try what you mentioned, it only change
the way the buttons are displayed (two lines vs side by side, like in the
exemple I provided in my first message). The second copy of the buttons
won't disapear. I've also try to resize the second copy to make it disapear,
to drag the second copy out of the taskbar, to click on the second copy and
press "delete", but nothing work! I'm usually very confortable with Win XP
and I can fix a lot of problems by myself but not this one (which is anoying
but not very serious, I must admit!)

Thanks anyway!
