Task scheduler will not run

I cannot get me task scheduler to start. I get the
following message when trying to start the service under
the advanced tab on "Scheduled tasks": "Unable to start
the Service."

I found that the service would not work properly when I
saw that Norton antivirus would not enable the "Automatic
Live Update". There help info pointed me to the task
scheduler problem. I have tried adding tasks to the
scheduler to start at login, but no results.

Any suggestions?
 
I have three login accounts. My account is the only
administrator account. I have set it up with a nonblank
password. Still no change being able to start the service.
