Click Start, Run and type this command exactly as given below: (watch for line wrap)
"REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f"

For XP Professional - Using Group Policy Editor
a. Click Start, Run, type gpedit.msc and click OK.
b. Select User Configuration | Administrative Templates | System | Ctrl+Alt+Delete Options | Remove Task Manager.
c. Double-click the Remove Task Manager option from the Group Policy menu.
Disabling or setting this policy to 'Not Configured' should solve the problem.
The above steps assumes your system is not in a Domain.

Tried to open task manager, it says it has been disabled
by the administrator....but...thats me, and I didn't do
it....can't find out how to enable it....can anyone help??
