Anyone know what this is? Googling for either upnpclient.exe or
MSlib16s was useless. A local search for upnpclient.exe finds
nothing also... MSlib16s is running as an application and
upnpclient.exe is the process running it.

Thanks

There are two services used with uPnP can be "managed" by right mouse from
My Computer> Manage> Services

or

RUN> services.msc (enter)
check SSDP
and Universal Plug N Pray ;)

Or get the easy toggle switch tool from GRC that does both in a blink.

uPNP is good for Routers and MSN .....and was thought to be useful for the
future when they would put Coke machines and Toasters on the internet so
custom port selection could be negotiated with the target deivce and
"Forwarded" to the Firewall or NAT Router for easy Porting without the
tedious Login to router and Enter the Port Forwarding Info etc.

After realizing I was answering the wrong question, here I am replying
again.....

If Google doesn't find it and you spelt it correctly.. you are either the
first person on earth with this bonafide file from Micro$oft or it is a
trojan worm.
The choice is yours but I would "end Task" and then find it and delete it in
safe mode. If one or two others pop-up try again in safe mode and better
still disable your entire MSCONFIG startup list and re-boot until you clean
out the little nasties.
