Hi

I am connected to remote machine via Remote Access,
but that does not give me the desktop of the remote
machine (it may be configured so)

I was wondering if there is some method by which
I could open up the task manager of the remote
machine, and open a new task on the remote machine.

Is that possible ? If so, how ?
Could someone please help me ?

Thanks in advance.

Have a look at WinVNC. It's free.

I am more interested in knowing if there is a
certain command by which one can open up the
task manager of the remote machine
(once one is connected to it).

If that is doable, then I could start a new
process there (just like windows->start->run )

Could someone tell me how to start the task
manager in the remote machine ?

You can start character-based processes using
psexec.exe (www.sysinternals.com) but you need
a take-over program such as WinVNC to launch
a GUI.

You can use Task Scheduler to start the process. Just schedule it to start 2
minutes or so into the future.
