Task Manager Doesn't Disply Correctly

When I press ctrl-alt-del I get the taskmanager window less the tabs at the
top! I can switch to Applications, Processes, etc. I have scanned for
viruses - nothing; run spybot - nothing; Ad-Aware - nothing. Can anyone
help?
 
Boy for a guy who considers himself somewhat Windows savvy, am I a
schmuck!!!

It sounds like you're running Task Manager in "Small Footprint
Mode." Simply double-click anywhere along the top or side borders to
return to a normal view. Alternatively, pressing <Ctrl>+<Tab> will
allow you to cycle between the various displays, and <Alt>+<F4> will
close it.
