Hi, I would like to know how to have the tasks auto delete after I mark them
as being completed. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do this.

Outlook xp.

Hi Matt,

Thanks for posting here.

I am afraid we cannot have Outlook delete the completed tasks
automatically. There is not related option for this function in Outlook.
Though perhaps we can achieve this purpose by creating a customized VBA,
personally I suggest using categorized views to categorize the tasks and
this workaround may be much easier to work for your question. To do so:

-- Switch to Tasks folder
-- Select View/Current View in the Outlook menu bar
-- You can select to pick up "active tasks" or "completed tasks" only
-- If you want to delete all completed tasks, pick up all the completed
tasks and then simply delete them

Hope the information helps.

If you prefer to create a VBA to delete all completed tasks and you have
further concerns regarding the VBA, I suggest post the question on the MSDN
newsgroup, so you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and
other partners who the newsgroups regularly can either share their
knowledge or learn from your interaction with us. Thank you for your
understanding.

Instead of marking them complete, just delete them.
