I do NOT know much about 3rd party software that can be used with Outlook.
Is there a good program that I can use that will allow Microsoft Outlook
load up into the Task Bar when I boot up my computer so that I can get
notified of appointments when they are due. I cannot see any options that
allows this. I have to OPEN the program to check for appointments, that is
no good. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Put a shortcut for Outlook into your Startup folder. This has been a method
for starting programs at boot time since the days of Windows 3.1
