Task Bar

Sorry, I don't understand your question. In Win98, I was able to move icons
I used a lot to the lower bottow task bar (beside Start). I don't know how
to do this now. The icons there number appear to be related to the system.
Not programs I used frequently.

I guess you're referring to Quick Launch (QL, in short). This link will explain how to add shortcuts to the Quick Launch area:
