task bar or maybe its called the tool bar

hi
what can i do, when i try to close a program and i can't close it, without
entering - crt, alt and delete button. if anything.
ty, any advise would be appreciated.
 
Question: Do you have a Creative Labs sound card? Because if you do then a
process named DLLML is probably running on your system. I say this because I
have that situation and every time I start my computer I have got to open the
task manager and in the process list right click on DLLML and end process and
everything works fine after that, even the sound card.

Yes, that is the way to get to the task manager and force a program to end.

If it's causing problems then just remove it from running at startup.

Annette, you need to provide more information. What programs does this
happen with? What happens when you try to exit the program normally? Are
there error messages? If so what are they verbatim. Why do you think this
is related to the taskbar? The taskbar is the bar a the bottom of the
desktop window where open programs are displayed. Is that what you mean?
Did this problem just suddenly occur or has it been going on for a long
time? If sudden what changes have been made to the system right before the
problem started, such as hardware or software changes?

it happens mostly when i play yahoo games. the program attaches to the task
bar. and when i try to close it it wont. no error message noting appears.
and the only way i can close it down is crt, alt & delete button.
