Hi there!

Basically my problem is that after i have left my computer on for a while
(ie. i have gone out), sometimes when i get back, my taskbar including start
menu etc have gone! I still have my desktop and icons.

One simle solution to get them back is by rebooting, but it can be quite
annoying having to do that and i would just prefer the problem fixing! When
this happens it also sometimes will not let me click on anything. The mouse
moves, i can highlight icons on the desktop, but cannot open them.

Does anyone know whats going wrong and how i can get this sorted? Any
feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Is the Autohide enable?
Right-click the Start button, and then click Properties.
On the Taskbar tab, uncheck the Auto-hide the taskbar option.

That wouldn't explain why he can't use his mouse.

Autohide is not enabled. I tried that.

Also the taskbar isnt locked, so i can resize it if it was hidden at the
bottom, so thats not the problem either.

Any other suggestions?
