When i generate an image with a huge amount of devices (2324) i get this error message when saving the .SLX file
I work on a machine with an 2 GHz Celeron, 2 GB RAM, 3 GB pagefile, using Embedded Studio Version 2002 incl. SP1 (not the EVAL-Version)
The .SLX file should be at least 44 MB, but saving is stopped after the first 2 kB

Who can help me??

You may not have enough space on your hard drive. What size hard drive are
you using to save your config file? With your pagefile at 3GB your may not
have the disk space.

JR_KA,

This is known issue and has been reported to MS. I have not seen any fix so far.
For me (if # of the components in configuration is more than 2200 or somewhere close) a huge SLX gets saved in 3Kb :-(
The only workaround was to be careful adding components. I have really no clue what is happening behind the scene and why TD is
crashing or saving the wrong file but adding more RAM did not help me that time. I would expect this is more VB problem (huge VB
arrays are not managed well).

I think that this is no Storage problem, but a problem of the Target Designer

On my Data Partition are 12 GB left for .SLX and .IMG files, pagefile is on Drive E with 51 GB left
Temp folder is also on Drive E.

JR_KA,

Did you read the message I posted to the thread? That should answer your question.
