taking precaution. need answers.

hey my computer has been running great. but typical windows. it couldnt stay
great, during startup it restarted and said we are sorry windows did not
start correctly please select you start up mode we are sorry for the
inconvinence. so i did start windows with last known good configurations. its
been working fine now, just wondering if this is anything i need to worry
about.

It sounds like it did what it needed to do to get out of the problem that it
had had. You can clean out temp files and the like and protect from malware.
You can defrag it once in a while too.

As for disk cleaning, I don't recommend a specific product because then if I
did and it ate more data than you'd intended it to I'd feel bad. Something
here should do the trick if you don't want to do so manually:

If you aren't happy with the defrag offered by Microsoft I know of no
freeware alternatives that compare to this:
