Taking away icons

I cant seem ta take away an icon from the bottom right hand corner by the clock display! It is called an instant access icon which i have tried to put in the trash can but when i do this a window appears saying not possible to take away.Please help.

What does it give you instant access to? What happens when you click it?

You've got spyware.

You need the following:

A good Anti-Virus scanner that you update and run frequently.

A good firewall like Zone Alarm or the built in XP firewall

Before running these, do the following:

Delete temporary internet files and internet history.
