Taking a BDC out of AD

I have an NT4 BDC in a Windows 2000 Active Domain.
How do I remove the BDC from the domain structure and take it off line?

Turn it off! A BDC only holds a read-only copy of the database. You can
simply switch it off, and delete the computer object from server manager/
active directory users and computers.
