Can a limited user, working in WinXP Home version, reboot into safe mode and
take ownership of a folder that is in the administrator's "My Documents"
folder. The administrator's account is pass-word protected. Trying to find
any leaks in XP Home's level of security. Thank you.

Users with Standard or Limited account types do not have access to start in Safe mode.

What, one question at a time :-)

Any user, or even non user, can load Knoppix direct from a CD (without even
needing to install it), or load any version of Linux onto disk, and then
read whatever files he or she wants, especially if your filesystem is FAT32.
If its NTFS you need to be choosy about which version of Linux you load.

Just curious; where in the computer is the memory stored of which user is
signed on after the computer reboots? How can it know if I am in a limited
user account after a reboot?
