I have a document with text entry boxes. I am able to tab from box to box on
the same line (row) but when I tab to the next line it inserts another row.
How can I get it to TAB only through the boxes I have (even line-to-line)

If you want to TAB between your textbox fields on your document, you must
protect the document first. Click "Tools", "Protect Document", for "Forms".
Are you using the Formfields from the Forms toolbar in your table cells?

Ok,had that done (the document protected) and it does TAB only to fields I
want it to across the row..it only misses when i reach the end of the row to
tab to the next.
I'm unsure about the question of "formfields" though..

Do you have "grayed" areas inside your table cells or are they just blank
cells? If you are in a Table and hit the TAB key it takes you to the next
cell to the right. When you reach the last cell of the last row a TAB
creates a new row. This will not happen if your document is protected and
you have inserted formfields in these table cells. Right-click your Toolbar
area and select "Forms". There is a little "AB" icon that inserts a text
formfield where your cursor is. When you click "Tools", "Protect Document",
for "Forms", only these little grey areas can be used to type in.

Does this work for you?
