I have a version 2003 (Danish version). In earlier
versions, under table, the cell standard was 0,12 cm left
and right. In the later versions it has been changed to
0,19 cm, much to my annoyance as I now have to change it
manually every time, because 0,19 is too much space. Is
there a way to do it permantly in the set up? Hope
somebody can help. Thank you.

Hi Anne,

Word 2003 has "table styles", and a table style (the default
one) is applied to each and every table you create.

Display the Styles and Formatting task pane, click in a
table, and look at the entry in the box at the very top.
This should be a table style name, such as "Table Grid".

Right-click over this and choose "Modify". Go to the
"Format" button, select "Table properties" from the list and
go to where you usually change that setting and make the
change.

When you come back out, activate the checkbox "Add to
template" before confirming and exiting the "Modfiy style"
dialog box.

This should change the default for this document, as well as
for all new documents created from this document's template.
