In a table cell, how can one replace the empty spaces with dots(.).
For example, if the cell contains 'Windows' and there is more space
left in the cell, how can it be replaced by dots(.)?
With the cursor in the cell, go to the Format > Tabs dialog. In the 'Tab
stop position' box, enter the width of the column or slightly less (this can
be adjusted later). Click the buttons for right alignment and a dot leader
(....). Click OK.
After you enter the text in the cell, press Ctrl+Tab to enter a tab
character. (Using only the Tab key will move to the next cell.)
If the row is deeper than the current line, you can fill the rest of the
cell. However, if you try to do it by just pressing Ctrl+Tab more times, it
won't work because the tabs stay on the same line and disappear. After the
first tab, press Shift+Enter to insert a line break, and then you can add as
many tabs as you need to fill the cell.
