tables to excel

Is it possible (and how can it be done?) to change a tables document done in word into an excel spreadsheet?
 
Hi!

Try

Select the entire table in Word
Rigt click > Copy
Select the Excel file on the taskbar
Locate the top right hand cell where you want the table to go
Right click > Paste

But couldn't you have done a bit of experimentation? With backed up
document and a blank workbook, you wouldn't do any damage.
