Hi there,

Is there a way to enter a table that will allow a user to input quantities and unit prices in separate columns, and then have a column calculate the price based upon the quantity and unit price and then sum up all the prices to come up with a grand total, much like Excel can but from within word? I see how you can embed an Excel file, but it seems you have to double click it to enter data; this I feel will confuse the people using it.

Thanks,

Ji

Hi Jim,

Yes, it can be done.

But that normally means that you have to protect the table for form. Then
you use form fields to let the user enter the values, and Calculation fields
to automatically do the products and Sums.

Write back if you decide you want to do that and are unsure how to go about
it.

Cheers!
