Hi all,

I am trying to find the best way to put a table legend above two
columns in a Word document. I have "cut and pasted" three columns from
an Excel spreadsheet into a Word document with two columns. The
document is 22 pages long and I am happy with everything, except I
would like to place a one column table legend above the columns. Can I
do this?

Thanks,

Wade

Point at the top row, right click and select Insert Rows.

Merge the cells to make one big cell if you have to.

If you already have two blank cells at the top, merge those into one cell
and use that for your table legend.

See..
Add a cell, row, or column to a table
and
Merge cells into one cell in a table
...in Word HELP

Also see...
Create a table
...in Word HELP.

Word | Table menu | Insert | Table |
Make adjustments on the Insert Table dialog.
