Doing graphics/logos for a t-shirt isn't a big deal, but I'm looking for a
program that will let me create some nifty sayings/phrases, then reverse it
so the transfer is correct. I've love one that would do something like
Office's WordArt, big funky letters with rainbow fills that I can slant or
curl or whatever.

I just Googled again and found out how to flip the WordArt over. Duh. If
anyone is interested:

"Reverse a WordArt image by i ..oo- dragging the handle on one side of the
image over the border on the other side."

If you're using Windows (you could be running in Linux, under Wine),
lay it out normally. Then, when you go to print, look for a box on
one of the tabs that says "Mirror" (it's in different places in
different versions of Windows - even XP home and XP Pro have it in
different places). Click that and the printer driver will flip the
output left-to-right, so you don;t need any additional software.

I learned two new things! Thanks!

And I just learned something new today. If you use Print Works Photo
Quality transfer paper (their #00529), you print normally, not
reversed. The print quality is much higher and you're printing on a
plastic sheet, so it should las longer and look good longer.
