This error appeared today on boot up. It happened before
and I ended up having to get a friend to reformat and
reinstall xp.
Luckily today, I was able to reboot successfully and
everything seems OK.
How can I stop this happening? What is it? How do I
reinstall the hal.dll if it goes walkabout again?
Many thanks: keep it very simple, I am a novice!
