System32 folder

I have been unsuccessfully trying to download an electronic periodical which
requires registration. In the process of trying ti diagnose the problem, I
found that my System32 folder (which contains the file where the registration
would be placed) does not appear in Windows Explorer or My Computer.
Something is apparantly blocking me from seeing it. I have adjusted all the
view settings to allow me to see it, but it still does not appear (although I
know, of course, that it exists).
Any suggestions?
Thanks

If you exhausted "all the view settings" to allow you to see it, then what's
left to help you with? Nothing works; you claim to have proven that, so ...
..

First off, are you looking in the right place?
C:\WINDOWS\system32?
Have you set Folder Options to show all hidden files and to show system
files?

I assume you did although you were too lazy to say so. Thus, with no other
info to work from, I have no further ideas; you've already tried everything
anyway.

Start | Run | Type: system32 | Click OK

Thanks for answering, but.....
Your reply was unhelpful and rude.
I have not been lazy; I have been working on this for days.
I fixed the problem by googling the statement "System32 folder is missing".
There were many hits with the answer, which consisted of typing:
attrib -a -h -r -s c:\windows\system32 into command/prompt.
Apparantly, many others have this same problem.

Had you said those things in the first place assistance may have been
quicker to come about. When details are missing and the OP starts to
respond with "I already did that" then people lose interest in helping you
out. So it ends up being your loss.
