Please help

I'm new to Window XP.
I'm have installed WinXPHome and now I am loading my
progams, some freeware and shareware.
It was ok for a few days, but now after loading some more
software my System32 folder opens automatically everytime
when I start or re-start winxp.
I tried to hide the folder with the hidden folder options
but no luck.

I have disable all the programs with system32 reference
from loading during startup, but no luck.

I have used system restore, which fixed the problem, but
it wiped also some of my some of my latest software which
could not be reinstalled.

Please help me to stop my system32 folder from opening.

Many thanks

Greetings --

This can be caused by a blank entry, such as can be left behind by
an incomplete program removal, in the
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and/or
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run keys.
