System32 Folder Always Open

We recently purchased a new Dell XPS running Windows XP
Home. After a few days (maybe a week, tops) of use, when
we boot to Windows, the System32 folder window is
displayed on the desktop. The contents are hidden
(default), and we've not changed that. I then close the
System32 folder window, and then use the computer
normally.

Why is this happening? Why does the System32 folder
window always come up when we enter Windows?

Thanks for any help out there!

This might help you:

WinXP as well)

Thanks for the reply, but nothing in article 170086
applies (none of the conditions mentioned exist).

Anyone else get this resolved?

Thanks!
