"system32.exe" problem

ok heres the deal folks... every time my windows xp
loads i get this error message saying that windows could
not find "system32.exe" in directory
C:/windows/system32/system32.exe. whats up and how can i
fix this, any help is GREATLY appreciated. :)
 
I had the same issue not long ago. All of the posts to assist you are
correct.

Get rid of the virus.
