I get a virus warning several times a day from my virus program saying that
the small8 trojan virus was found in the above file. It will heal the virus,
but it just comes back. I have denied internet access to the file in my
firewall but still get the virus message. If I choose to delete the file I
get a warning from the virus program that deleting windows files could cause
the system to stop working. I would like to find out if the above file is an
actual windows file or did the virus plant itself in that folder so that it
wouldn't be deleted and should I go ahead and delete this file? I've been
getting this virus message at least 4 times a day for several days.

There is no dload.exe in my system32 folder. You could
rename it, if you can.
I reckon you will get the crap regarding something is using
it, unable to
delete.
Renaming may get round this, reboot then delete it.

It may help to start in safe mode.

dload.exe is not an XP file. Delete it.

File dload.exe is related to dialer Coulomb Dialer.

Coulomb Dialer description: Coulomb Dialer is a British dialer related to
porn sites.

Coulomb Dialer properties:
• Shows commercial adverts
• Hides from the user
• Stays resident in background

Thank you, deleting the file hasn't messed up anything but I've got another
question. The virus keeps coming back. I've run spam control and deleted
those programs and blocked everything except microsoft programs and my safety
programs in my firewall but it still keeps showing up. I can't figure out
how it's getting back on the computer. Does anyone have any other
suggestions to permanently get rid of it? It's downloader.small.8.R. And my
virus program has started finding viruses every night, that one and
occasionally others, after almost never finding them. I have deleted every
program off of my harddrive that I don't use or didn't recognized as well.
