hello, Mike here i just re-loaded my system. formatted the hard drive and a
clean install and now i have to put the CD to boot it up. It gets part way
done and puts up a message that it can't find boot disk and to put in the
XP-CD. How can i get it back to boot from the hard drive? I have the bios set
to boot from floppy as 1 hdd as 2 and CD as 3. HELP
And happy holidays

After you boot using the CD:
Click Start,rt.clk. My Computer, clk. Manage, clk. Disk Management on the left
pane.
[You may have to clk. the (+) [plus] beside Storage to see that.]
Is your new install shown as Healthy(System)? What Disk #? [Disk 0, Disk 1?]
You wrote:I have the bios set

In the BIOS, is HDD # set to the same #? [IDE 0, IDE 1?] It needs to be
the same as the disk # in Disk Management. Depending on your BIOS, you may
need to highlight *hdd*, and press Enter, to change/check the # in the BIOS.

Oh, and don't press Enter AFTER you make a change in the BIOS. Press Escape,
then F10, to save the change.
