I had windows xp on my c: and it crashed during a defrag and then I
installed it on my d:
now my d: became c: I want windows back on my original c: I installed
it back again after reformatting it, I deleted windows on my now c: I
can't get it back to the original way. my c: is a system drive and my
d: is a boot drive. I want my d: to be my c: and I want the system
drive just to be a spare drive.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

how do i do this?

couple options,

1: Goto the administrative tools and select the computer management program,
change the drive letters through disk management (can't remember if it iwll
let you change the system drive letter)

or use a 3rd part program such as Partition It,

2: change boot.ini manually, you can lookup the format for how online, not
going to try and explain it off the top of my head

3: reformat everything

Presumably you've backed up data and have access to all your program cd's.
To save a lot of trouble, disconnect the hd you want as the slave. Ensure
your primary hd is set as master and on the primary ide.
Boot from win cd, delete partitions, create, format and install win.
Update win, once all OK, shutdown connect other hd, set as slave reboot.
In Disk Managment, delete partition on the slave drive, recreate and format
This assumes you actually have two HD's

If there are multiple partitions on any of these disks, make sure the one
you intend to install-to is first set as the active one. (Use DOS FDISK to do
this)
