System Volume Info Folder query

Victor,

You haven't mentioned the way you deploy your image on target device but it
will probably ether direct coping the runtime directories to the target
storage (CF, hard disk, etc.) or deploying through SDI file, ghost or etc.
There are other methods but those are most popular.
Anyway.. did you happen to image your entire source drive? If so, on your
source drive you should have "System Volume Information" system directory
and it might get copied to your runtime image. To avoid such, use a RAM disk
or SDI Loader disk as you source that doesn't have these directories.

Hi everyone,

I noticed that the "System Volume Infomation" folder keeps on getting added
to my image.
I did a google on this and found out that it is part of the "System Restore"
feature. I'm
puzzled because I did not add the "System Restore" component, and indeed it
is not visible
as an added component in TD. But how come this folder/feature keeps on
getting added?
Are there other components that auto-adds this feature without displaying it
on TD's middle
pane? I really don't need this feature and it eats up almost half of my
image's size. Any hints?
