In the systray ? There are several locations in the
Registry where you can accomplish this but the best way is
to have an option in the program itself to launch when the
GUI comes up. You're not talking about the QuickLaunch
Toolbar are you, usually to the left, next to the Start
button ?

How doyou put an icon for a program on the Sys. Tray?
Thanks, Don

Normally, this optional ability is built into the program itself. There are
third party programs that can do this for any program tah might not have
this ability. You might want to try a Google search for one of these.

Sorry, I meant the Task Bar.

The QuickLaunch Toolbar normally sits in the Taskbar just
to the right of the Start button. If it's not turned on,
right-click on the Taskbar, go to Toolbars and click on
the QuickLaunch item. You can then drag & drop programs,
etc. to the QuickLaunch Toolbar. If you drag with the
RIGHT mouse-button down, you'll be asked if you want to
copy (the item) or move (the item). You can drag things
off of the Programs menu directly to the QuickLaunch
Toolbar, I suggest the right-drag method because it is
safer.

You can re-size the QLToolbar by dragging the vertical bar
on its right side to the right; you can also lock it after
you get it the way you want.

Hope this helps

Good Luck !
