I have an application that currently displays in the task bar in the usual
way. I'd like it to have an icon in the system tray and behave essentially
like ZoneAlarm, so that closing it will cause it to return to the system
tray rather than exit. Is there a general way to accomplish this, e.g., by
adding registry keys? There is apparently no provision to configure this
application in this way.

This is something that should be included in the application.
Basically the programmer can set: what function do the upper
right window buttons have and should they appear or been grayed.
You cannot change that yourself.

Thank you,

I had a feeling that this was the answer.
