To speed up my computer at boot-up, how can I delete
items that automatically startup from my system tray?
(i.e. Quicktime, Active Sync for my Pocket PC, Messenger
(which I do not use), and other programs that I don't
want to auto load at startup)

Ernie, go to MSCONFIG and on the startup tab deselect all
but what you want. I only run an anti-virus on startup.
And,it improves overall performance. GOOD LUCK. You must
also select the Selective Startup first. Then,You'll be
prompted at next startup,Click Do Not Show and leave it
there.
