System Timer

Hi all,

I have small issue that I have no idea how to fix.

The system timer of my laptop does not maintain the
correct time. Every hour it falls 3 minutes behind with
the system on.

Any suggestions on what to look for?

I don't know if helps but: It is an HP Pavillion ZE5170 -
2Mghz Pentium 4 - 512Mb DDR RAM.

The timer in your system runs on a different battery

than the PC. It might need replacing if it is over 2
years old. You can buy them at Radio Shack for about $5
